ABOUT LANGKAWI ART BIENNALE 2014
The Langkawi Art Biennale 2014 will be the country's first distinguished platform for international dialogue in fine and contemporary art. The convergence between Malaysian artists and international artists from 37 countries will ignite wholesome collaboration while positioning Langkawi in a global context as an art tourism hub. This art biennale aspires to offer new exposure for artists, art galleries, art associations, businesses and continuously infusing deeper public engagement with the arts. The theme Migration brings enthusiasts and art inhabitants around the world to Langkawi island, not just for its natural and ecologically rich attractions but also serving as a mesmerising art sanctuary.
Langkawi Art Biennale 2014 is organised by ArtMalaysia Association and supported by Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia and other organisations.
